For iOS and Android, MapMyFitness (multiple sports), MapMyRun, MapMyRide (cycling), MapMyWalk, or MapMyHike cover a range of aerobic exercises, taking advantage of your phone’s GPS and other sensors to track and map your course, time, speed and total distance. The apps display both your real-time stats and your end-of-activity totals. Useful extras include support for a variety of fitness trackers and heart rate sensors, Android Wear support and nutrition tracking.
As an alternative to mobile apps, we recommend keeping track of your activities (including swimming) with GPS-watches with tracking, analysis and sharing platforms – such as Garmin devices with Garmin Connect. These can be used in conjunction with heart rate monitors.
